DIRECT BOOKING FROM ST. LOUIS VS GROUP BOOKING

St. Louis Family and Friends,

Please note group booking pricing from St. Louis to Accra, Ghana is $3,000. Booking directly, however, is decidedly less expensive. I encourage each of the St. Louis travelers to book directly through Delta.com. Since 1/4/24 the flights have varied daily (and sometimes hourly) between $1800 and $2300 but always less than $3000. I have been waiting for this group price to reduce but it has not. It is required that the group from each departure point share a route with the rest of the group. Adding those stops boosts St. Louis prices to $3,000.

So, St. Louis folks, feel free to book directly through Delta.com. I suggest that you book this week. Many have already purchased their flights to Ghana directly from Delta using their personal credit cards, and the $120 that would have gone to Delta has been issued as a credit to the Ashanti Tours deposit of $400 which is due on 2/4/24. Please read the deposited funds section below.

However, if any of you would rather just pay the $3000, I will continue with your group travel booking. Just let me know.

GROUP BOOKING vs SELF BOOKING-You Decide

Group Flights allows you to pay over a longer time, allows for names to be swapped out up to 60 days before travel, and awards frequent flyer credits. Group travel does not allow you to upgrade your seat with frequent flyer points, you must pay cash for this. Group travel may or may not be your location's most affordable or most direct option. The goal of group bookings is to get everyone on the same flight and into the destination at the same time. In this case, travelers will fly DL0156 departing from JFK airport at 4:10 PM on 11/22/2024 and arriving in Accra, Ghana on 11/23/2024 at 7:00 AM .

Self-booking allows travelers to use frequent flyer points and credits to book the tickets, allows for you to choose your optimal routes and times and allows you to upgrade your seat with points. However, the trip must be paid for all at once. To fly on the same flights with the group flight travelers, please be aware that travelers will fly DL0156 departing from JFK (New York) airport at 4:10 PM on 11/22/2024 and arriving in Accra, Ghana on 11/23/2024 at 7:00 AM . DEPOSITED FUNDS: If you choose group travel, Delta charges a $20 fee and $100 deposit. The $100 deposit serves as a credit towards the purchase of your ticket. If you choose to self book, $120 of your $200 deposit will be forwarded to Ashanti Tours as part of your down payment for that portion of the trip. Each traveler is paying $70 for taxes, fees, and administrative costs for this trip.

In either event we recommend travelers purchase travel insurance along with your booked travel and we also recommend that all payments be made via credit card for your protection.
